A turn of the century Elliott grandfather clock. 8-day weight driven three train movement with quarter hour striking on eight bells and five coiled gongs, arched Brass dial with painted moon phases and engraved hemispheres, a Silvered chapter ring with Arabic numerals and subsidiary dials for seconds, Chime/Silent and Whittington/Chimes/Westminster, engraved filigreed spandrels and dial center, movement marked "Elliott, London, England" with serial #1321, damascened plates. Oak Chippendale style case features a molded broken arch top with turned finials over an arched molded crown and conforming dial door flanked by turned columns with fluted detail, over a waist door with geometric upper panel and beveled glass lower on a paneled base with short turned feet. Older refinishing with minor wear, running when cataloged. 96 3/4" high. ESTIMATE $2,000-4,000

Elliott Oak 2 Weight Grandfather Clock. 12″ silvered dial signed “Elliot, London” has applied brass hour numbers, sub seconds, pierced decorated hands, filigree engraved center and applied filigree and winged putti pierced gilt brass corner spandrels; brass 8 day weight driven movement signed “J.J. Elliott, 5 Percival St., London”, stamped with “H&H” trade mark for Harris & Harrington and numbered “4243”, has deadbeat escapement, retaining power, half hour strike on a coiled gong, long steel pendulum rod with brass covered bob and brass covered weights hanging from solid brass pulleys. Oak case with filigree rosettes on the arched crest, 3 turned finials and turned corner columns on the bonnet, has an arched half fan carving at the top of the door panel with beveled glass, flanked by turned quarter columns and oval full fan carving in the inset lower panel. Overall refinished, cleaned and restored, 1 finial tip is repaired; running and striking. 98″ high x 24″ wide x 14.75″ deep.

Large 12 in. silvered dial with a brass backplate signed “Elliott, London”, has applied brass hour numbers, engraved center, sub seconds dial, brass filigree corner spandrels and arched moon phase dial at the top; quality brass weight driven movement signed “J.J. Elliot, 5 Percival St., London” and “H&H” for Harris & Harrington, numbered 8154, has a deadbeat escapement, half hour strike on a single tube, brass pulleys, 2 brass covered weights and brass covered pendulum bob with steel pendulum stick. In a mahogany case with broken arched crest having turned finials, filigree and ribbon inlays, turned corner columns on the bonnet, turned quarter columns on the body with beveled glass on the front door and stands on claw feet. In very good condition with a nice enhanced original finish. 103 in. high x 26 in. wide x 17 in. deep.
