Eli Terry, Jr. Empire Shelf Clock, turned half columns, beautiful hand painted dial (may need to be cleaned), reverse painted lower glass, claw feet, wooden works, weight driven, label, “Patent Clocks, Invented by Eli Terry, Made and Sold at Terrysville, Connecticut by Eli Terry, Jr.”, measures approx. 32″ tall x 17 1/2″ wide x 5″ deep. Many Eli Terry Clocks which depict a home or building on the reverse painted glass tablet, are actual homes in the Town of Plymouth and surrounding Connecticut towns of the time period.
