Bartholomew Transitional Shelf Clock, Bristol, Connecticut, c. 1840, mahogany veneered case, stenciled fruit basket splat and half columns on door, painted wood dial, lower tablet of a rural scene surrounded by a stenciled gold border. Beautiful label, including directions on either side, “Manufactured and Sold by E, & G. W, Bartholomew, Bristol, Conn.” thirty-hour, weight driven, time and strike wooden movement, carved claw feet in front, 3-dimensional carved pineapple finials, key and pendulumn. Measures approx. 29″ high x 15″ wide x 5″ deep.

Bartholomew, Bristol, Conn.” with additional label “Thomas G. Daggett, Clock & Watch Maker, No 70 Point Street, Providence, R.I.”, plus hand written dates and hand writing on original label. Thirty-hour, weight driven, wooden works clock with carved claw feet in front, Measures approx. 27″ Tall x 14″ Wide x 5″ Deep.

Eli & George W. Bartholomew Shelf Clock: weight driven wood works with top of the case bell strike and strike adjust wire. The wood dial is 10 1/4″ wide. There is a stained, but legible interior label. The case is mahogany and veneer with stenciled columns and splat. The upper glass is newer. The painted glasses are in excellent condition and may be replacements. The dial is a bit dirty. The backboard has extra holes. The case has no serious problems. Weights and pendulums are with it. No key.
