Eel Gaite at Bezenet Mobier Clock: repousse brass front and pendulum with 9 1/2″ porcelain dial, original weights and pendulum. Some wording on the floral head piece, Quale & Octo?? and no. 9 & 10. Time and bell striking movement, weight driven.

French, “Mobier” inspired oak long case 8-day clock, c. mid 19th C, a magnificent timepiece with a fluid sculptural form, volute design to crown, chimes on the half and hour with a bell and 2 minutes later with a coil gong, movement is original to case, made in Bolee, France, maker of the clock Pitter, operating,

French Mobier (Comptoise) Tall Case Clock: circa Louis XIV to XV with a weight driven, bell striking original movement. The dial has porcelain Roman numerals and minutes in 5 minute increments. The name Lance A Jussev is below the dial. It has a crown wheel escapement and looks like a 30 day movement made of steel and brass. The dark colored case has carved and applied decorations of flowers and leaves. The case brass bezel has chickens and fleur-di-lis designs. The case brass hands are also original. The pendulum with it has a starburst ball on wire rod.

(The small porcelain piece of the dial is fractured. The pendulum seems to be too long, as it extends below the oval window in the case’s front. It does have the appropriate hook on the end for the suspension.) Working condition not determined at this time.

French Mobier Wall Clock: With a T&S movement; a white porcelain dial with pink numeral patches and black Roman Numerals; a tin front decorated with cornucopias and flowers; a mirrored Lyre pendulum with a bird and flowers and 2 oval weights.

Not tested.

(One side of the tin case is missing.)

Approximately 54″ long when put together.

Gaffattou, Roman numerals, on the brass face decoration, there is a basket of fruit and nuts above, the entire works are enclosed in a tin box. Early to mid 19th Century, from France.
