Edward F. Caldwell was one of the premier designers and manufacturers of electric light fixtures and decorative metalwork from the late 19th to the mid-20th centuries. Founded in 1895 by Edward F. Caldwell (1851–1914) and Victor F. von Lossberg (1853–1942).

Caldwell & Co., New YorkÂ, has black hour numbers and fancy pierced engraved hands; brass double spring driven time only movement signed with Seth Thomas trademark and has a lever escapement with good balance wheel in running condition. In a green marble case with bronze bezel, dore bronze filigree and lionÂs head corners, green marble base standing on dore bronze fruit cluster feet. In good condition, has chips around the winding holes. 12 in. high x 16.5 in. wide x 5 in. deep.
