Early Jerome 12 in. Schoolhouse Clock. 12 in. painted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals, fancy blued hands and brass door bezel; brass 8 day spring driven time only movement is unsigned. In a walnut octagonal case with cross banded borders around the top, filigree carving along the sides on the chamfered short drop section and reverse painted tablet with gilt filigree design. In good general condition with an alligatored overcoated finish. Some light veneer flaking along the bottom of the case and dial. 24 in. high x 17 in. wide.
