American Weight Driven Banjo Clock. 8 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals and open moon hands; typical brass 8 day weight driven banjo clock movement with iron weight, steel pendulum rod and brass bob. Mahogany banjo case with turned teardrop finial, round door bezel with original glass, beveled throat and door frame with original reverse painted and gilt leaf glasses and scrolling wood side arms. Original finish, has repairs to the side arms, throat glass is cracked in the lower right corner and chip at the tip of the finial. 33 in. high x 10 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

American Weight Driven Banjo Clock. Original 7 in. painted metal dial has black hour numbers, gilt painted border inside, blued hands and inscribed ÂWarrented by L. Curtis, ConcordÂ; brass 8 day time only weight driven movement has rectangular plates with arched top, steel pendulum rod with brass covered bob, lock down hardware on the weight baffle, brass pulley & lead weight. The mahogany case has flat framing with cross banded border, brass bezel, pierced brass side arms and brass ball finial; reverse painted glass with replaced throat glass and some inpainting on the tablet witch is painted with the ÂConstitutions EscapeÂ ship battle scene, case has an enhanced original finish. 34 in. high x 10 in. wide x 3.5 in. deep.

Original 8 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals and black hands; typical brass weight driven time only 8 day movement has a steel pendulum rod and brass covered bob, brass pulley with lead weight. Mahogany banjo style case has brass door bezel with convex glass, pierced brass side arms, reverse painted throat glass and reverse painted lower tablet with Apollo scene; rope twisted carving around the lower door & throat frame and turned acorn finial on top. Gilt finish is worn from the finial, door & throat framework, throat is glued in place, lower tablet is an old replacement, dial has some flaking & paint loss with some inpainting, the case is refinished and the side arms are not attached. 31 in. high x 10 in. wide x 4 in. deep.
