Ansel Turner Mahogany Tall Case Clock. Original painted metal dial has a 10 in. chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals, 5 minute numbers, sub seconds dial, pierced hands, gilt filigree spandrels, moon phase with painted sailing ship scene and signed “Warranted Ansel Turner”. Has an 8 day brass weight driven movement with recoil escapement, one hour drop hammer bell strike, brass pulleys and long pendulum with brass covered bob and steel rod. In a mahogany case with arched and pierced carved crest, turned columns on the bonnet with brass capitals and turned quarter columns on the body. Case is in good condition, refinished and polished; missing the 2 weights and 3 finials. 90 in. high x 17 in. wide x 9 in. deep.
