E. Howard No. 89 Regulator. 16 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals, sub-seconds dial & black spade hands, dial is signed E. Howard & Co. Boston and has a wood bezel; dial has extra holes at 6 & 12. Quality brass weight driven movement signed E. Howard & Co. Boston, has graham deadbeat escapement, Geneva stop, retaining power, iron weight, etched and silvered pendulum bob with wood stick and lock-down hardware. In a large refinished walnut case with arched glass door and turned finials and teardrop finials; the case has extra holes in the backboard where it previously contained watchmans mechanisms or master clock mechanisms. 73 in. high x 26 in. wide x 11 in. deep

Howard & Co., BostonÂ, has large blued spade hands and black Roman hour numerals; brass weight driven time only movement No. 5 signed ÂE. Howard & Co., BostonÂ with silvered plates, has a long ebonized wood pendulum stick with a brass covered bob, brass lockdown hardware in the wood weight baffle (replaced) and good iron No. 11 weight with brass pulley. In an oak case with hinged wood door bezel and original reverse painted lower tablet having red & black paint with gold leaf highlights and open aperture exposing the pendulum bob. In very good condition, case has an enhanced original finish with no breaks or repairs, original glass in good condition with no touchup or inpainting. 42 in. high x 20.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.

Howard & Co., BostonÂ, has black Roman hour numerals and blued open moon hands; brass 8 day weight driven time only movement No. 5 signed ÂE. Howard & Co., BostonÂ with long silver painted wood pendulum stick, silvered damascened bob, lockdown hardware on the original wood weight baffle, brass pulley and original No. 5 iron weight. In a oak case with carved crest, turned finials, carved frieze and corner spandrels around the dial and turned teardrop finials at the base. Has an enhanced original finish and is in very good condition. 40 in. high x 12 in. wide x 6 in. deep.

In a large sized cherry No. 70 case with hinged door bezel and carved corner pieces. Case appears to be a 20th century ÂreissueÂ, reverse painted tablet is in good condition, original movement, weight, pendulum bob & hinges. 62 in. high x 30.5 in. wide x 8.5 in. deep.

Howard & Co., BostonÂ, has black Roman hour numerals and blued spade hands (tarnished); brass 8 day weight driven time only movement No. 70, signed ÂE. Howard & Co., BostonÂ, wood pendulum stick with brass covered bob, original No. 70 iron weight and brass pulley. In a carved mahogany case with turned finials over a carved trim piece, leaf carved spandrels on the corners of the upper door, square teardrop finial, corbels and floral carved border in the drop section with original reverse painted red, black & gilt tablet. In good overall condition, case has some damage to the lower bracket from the weight falling, has an enhanced original medium red-brown finish with very small spot touchups in the tablet. 34 in. high x 15 in. wide x 5.5. in. deep.

Walnut case has an original finish with an old overcoat, round bezel and long reverse painted door tablet which is replaced. 56 in. long.
