Howard #73 Gallery Clock w/Marble Presentation Dial: on the 24″ dial is this wording-“The Gift of Thomas N. Hart- Mayor- 1889 and E. Howard & Co. Boston”. The time only movement is signed and numbered 24 3/4. In a gallery style cherry case. Mr. Hart 1829-1927 was a merchant and philanthropist. He served as mayor of Boston 1889-1901.)
According to new information, this clock could possibly be a Howard #19, please make your own judgement!!

E. Howard No. 73 Gallery Clock. 24 in. Painted wood dial has black Roman hour numerals on the chapter ring, fancy black hands with counterweights, dial signed E. Howard & Co. Boston. Quality brass weight driven movement No. 12.5, signed E. Howard & Co. Boston, has retaining power, Geneva stop, recoil escapement, iron weight, brass covered etched pendulum bob with wood stick and brass pulleys. Oak case has an ebony finish, rosettes and beaded bezel. Square corner columns and arched crest. Dial is replaced, has filled and repainted screw holes and sub seconds bit. 31.5 in. high x 31.5 in. wide

Dillaway, has large hour numbers, carved & painted wood hands; quality brass weight driven time only 8 day movement No. 11 1/2, signed E. Howard & Co., Boston, brass 3 pulley system with replaced lead side weight, brass covered pendulum bob with wood stick. In a carved mahogany case, good condition and original finish, 34.5 in. high x 31.25 in. wide x 7.25 in. deep.
