Quality brass No. 12.5 movement, signed E. Howard & Co, Boston; Recoil escapement, Geneva stop, iron weight with wood pulleys and pendulum (replaced). Marble front case has reverse painted throat glass with black background and gilt leaf borders and stars. Has a repair to the marble dial at 9 o’clock. 30 in. high x 14 in. wide.

Brass weight driven 8 day time only movement number “24 3/4″ signed “E. Howard & Co., Boston”, has a long ebonized wood pendulum stick with brass covered bob, ebonized wood weight baffle, brass pulley and iron weight. Has a pine case box painted white on the exterior, has a minor split in the bottom right from a fallen weight. In very good condition. 44 in. high x 24 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep.

The lower drop section of the case has an oval reverse painted throat glass with gilt leaf, black background and open center exposing the pendulum bob.
