Howard & Co., Boston” has an ebonized wood pendulum stick with brass covered bob and solid brass pulley with No. 70 iron weight . In a walnut No. 70 wall hanging case with original reverse painted and gold leaf lower tablet. Refinished, replaced pulley, repaired weight damage at the base, minor touchup paint around dial holes; running. 32″ high x 15.5″ wide x 4.75″ deep. Weight: 21.5 lbs.

Boston; brass weight driven time only movement has a recoil escapement, brass pulley, iron No. 2 weight, long gilt wood pendulum stick and brass covered bob, movement signed E. Howard, Boston. In a walnut, figure eight case with carved crests, reverse painted throat and lower glasses and black painted weight baffle. Case is refinished, glasses are repainted and the dial has inpainting and a varnished overcoat. 50 in. high x 17 in. wide x 6 in. deep.

Square, drop form case with floral carved spandrels and collar, turned finials, beaded frieze and original reverse painted tablet having minor black inpainting. Howard & Co., Boston”, has black Roman hour numerals and black spade hands; brass weight driven time only No 5 movement signed “E. Howard & Co., Boston”, has a long wood pendulum stick with a brass covered bob, and good No.70 iron weight with brass pulley, the wood weight baffle is missing. In a refinished walnut case with hinged wood door bezel and original reverse painted lower tablet having red & black paint with gold leaf highlights and open aperture exposing the pendulum bob. original glass in good condition with no touchup or inpainting, slight loss to the gold leaf border. Seat board is a replacement. Movement is running. Dimensions: 30 in. high x 15.5 in. wide x 5 in. deep. Weight: 21.95 lbs.

Howard & Co. Boston”, weight with cast “70” designation. Mahogany case with round upper and squared lower doors. Good original finish with minor wear, dial touched up at winding hole, touch up to paint on lower door, running when cataloged. 32″ high.
