Howard & Co., Boston”, has black Roman hour numerals and black spade hands; brass weight driven time only No 5 movement signed “E. Howard & Co., Boston”, has a long wood pendulum stick with a brass covered bob, and good No.70 iron weight with brass pulley, the wood weight baffle is missing. In a refinished walnut case with hinged wood door bezel and original reverse painted lower tablet having red & black paint with gold leaf highlights and open aperture exposing the pendulum bob. original glass in good condition with no touchup or inpainting, slight loss to the gold leaf border. Seat board is a replacement. Movement is running. Dimensions: 30 in. high x 15.5 in. wide x 5 in. deep. Weight: 21.95 lbs.

Dial has some inpainting, extra holes behind the dial, the sphere at the end of the door latch is missing and case is refinished. 32.5 in. high x 14.5 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep.
