E. Howard & Co. No. 3 Rosewood Banjo Clock: With a signed dial . The glass throat and door paint looks nice. There is a damascene pendulum and the weight with the clock. Howard & Co. Boston, has recoil escapement, No. 5 weight, ebony pendulum stick, brass bob and replaced weight baffles, brass lockdown hardware. Rosewood grain painted case has original French polished finish, original reverse painted throat and door glasses having some minor inpainting; bottom of the case has some minor restoration. 29 in. high.

Howard & Co., Boston” has black Roman hour numerals and open moon hands; brass 8 day weight driven time only movement signed “E. Howard & Co., Boston”, has a solid brass pulley with original iron No. 2 weight, gilt wood pendulum stick with brass covered bob and lockdown hardware on the weight baffle. In an excellent rosewood grained banjo-style case with original reverse painted black, red and gold leaf tablet and throat glass; setup instructions paper label in the bottom of the case. Excellent original finish, some paint flaking to glasses, minor seam repair at lower door hinge. 44″ high x 17.75″ wide x 5″ deep.

Case has an overcoated finish, repairs to bottom board and joints, replaced hinged screws in the lower door, repaired pendulum stick, replaced dial and repainted glasses; the ratchet spring for the drive train is loose, not allowing the clock to hold power after winding. 29 in. high x 12 in. wide x 4 in. deep.
