A late 19th century E. Howard & Co. Boston No. 13 Regulator wall clock. 8-day time only weight driven movement with seconds bit, Geneva stop and 12 3/4″ painted iron dial. Movement and dial both marked “E. Howard & Co. Boston”. Black Walnut case with single long door and upper molded dial surround. Older refinishing with slight wear, replaced inner dial frame and weight baffle, replaced door glasses (old glass), running when cataloged. 56″ high.

E. Howard No. 7 Figure Eight Regulator. 12 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals, blued open moon hands and dial signed E. Howard & Co. Boston; brass weight driven time only movement has a recoil escapement, brass pulley, iron No. 2 weight, long gilt wood pendulum stick and brass covered bob, movement signed E. Howard, Boston. In a walnut, figure eight case with carved crests, reverse painted throat and lower glasses and black painted weight baffle. Case is refinished, glasses are repainted and the dial has inpainting and a varnished overcoat. 50 in. high x 17 in. wide x 6 in. deep.

Square, drop form case with floral carved spandrels and collar, turned finials, beaded frieze and original reverse painted tablet having minor black inpainting. In a walnut No. 70 wall hanging case with original reverse painted and gold leaf lower tablet. Refinished, replaced pulley, repaired weight damage at the base, minor touchup paint around dial holes; running. 32″ high x 15.5″ wide x 4.75″ deep. Weight: 21.5 lbs.

Boston No. 70 brass weight driven time only movement, has an incorrect weight, weight baffle, pendulum stick, pulley and missing lockdown hardware. In a walnut case with round top and long drop with reverse painted throat glass with red background, black border and gilt leaf boarders. Dial has some inpainting, extra holes behind the dial, the sphere at the end of the door latch is missing and case is refinished. 32.5 in. high x 14.5 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep.

BostonÂ, has Graham deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, Geneva stop, large iron No. 1 weight, brass pulley, wood weight baffle w/ brass lockdown hardware, long gold painted wood pendulum stick and brass covered bob. In a large sized cherry No. 70 case with hinged door bezel and carved corner pieces. Case appears to be a 20th century ÂreissueÂ, reverse painted tablet is in good condition, original movement, weight, pendulum bob & hinges. 62 in. high x 30.5 in. wide x 8.5 in. deep.
