Howard & Co., Boston, has black Roman hour numerals and open moon hands; brass 8 day weight driven No. 5 movement signed ÂE. Howard & Co., Boston” and stamped #5, has a recoil escapement, gilt wood pendulum stick, brass covered bob, brass pulley & brass covered weight. The clock is contained in a tower on the left side of the hall tree with beveled glass door panel over the dial and exposing the weight & pendulum, broken arched crest with brass front mounts, brass finial, quarter fan and filigree carvings, has an open shelf over a single drawer, spiral turned posts and brass spindled cane holder gallery in the base. The right side has a single seat bench with carved arms, spiral turned spindles, mirrored and paneled back under a single shelf and 3 brass coat hooks on the right side front post with spiral turned finial. In good condition with an enhanced original finish. 104 in. high x 51 in. wide x 20 in. deep.

Circa 1880 American E. Howard & Company 8 day Wall Clock with 12″ Original painted dial, Weight driven brass movement, Intricately carved large mahogany regulator wall clock with gold finish. The only modification to the case is someone cut a hole in wood shield to view the weight when reaching it’s lowest point. Very good condition. 46.5″H x 16″W x 6″D

Howard #89 Regulator, Mahogany: self winding movement with electrical apparatus connected to it. It has a 14″ metal dial. Not tested for running condition.
(The 2 jar pendulum is minus the jars; an electrical cord comes out of the cases top. The dial has faded, the wood finish has been removed. There is no door glass. May have other unknown problems.)
