Howard & Co. Boston. 8 day brass weight driven movement is signed E. Howard & Co. Boston, has brass pendulum bob with gilt wood stick, U-shaped lead weight and ebonized wood weight baffle. Marble front case has reverse painted throat glass with black background and gilt leaf borders and stars. Has a repair to the marble dial at 9 oÂclock. 30 in. high x 14 in. wide.

In an oak case with hinged wood door bezel and original reverse painted lower tablet having red & black paint with gold leaf highlights and open aperture exposing the pendulum bob. In very good condition, case has a nice enhanced original finish with good patina, no breaks or repairs to the case, original glass in good condition with no touchup or inpainting. 35.5 in. high x 18 in. wide x 5 in. deep.

Howard & Co., Boston with silvered plates, has a long ebonized wood pendulum stick with a brass covered bob, brass lockdown hardware in the wood weight baffle (replaced) and good iron No. 11 weight with brass pulley. In an oak case with hinged wood door bezel and original reverse painted lower tablet having red & black paint with gold leaf highlights and open aperture exposing the pendulum bob. In very good condition, case has an enhanced original finish with no breaks or repairs, original glass in good condition with no touchup or inpainting. 42 in. high x 20.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.

Howard & Co., BostonÂ, has a long ebonized wood pendulum stick with a damascened brass covered bob, brass lockdown hardware in the wood weight baffle and good iron weight with brass pulley. In an oak case with hinged wood door bezel and original reverse painted lower tablet having red & black paint with gold leaf highlights and open aperture exposing the pendulum bob. In very good condition, case has a nice cleaned & enhanced original finish, no breaks or repairs to the case, weight baffle is replaced, original glass in good overall condition with some red inpainting, dial has very minor inpainting around the screw holes and winding hole. 31.5 in. high x 15.5 in. wide x 4.75 in. deep.

Howard & Co., Boston, Mass.” has incised Roman hour numerals, Arabic 5 minute markers outside, 3.5 in. sub seconds dial, original pierced diamond hands, walnut bezel; quality brass weight driven time only movement signed “E. Howard & Co. Boston” has Graham deadbeat escapement with jeweled pallets, retaining power, original brass side weight and brass pulleys; 4 steel jar mercurial pendulum with long steel rod, numbered 275-3552. In a carved walnut case with broken pediment crest, turned finial with filigree embellishments, raised panels, scroll carvings and shells on the corners, carving with rosettes on either side of the door and teardrop finials at the base. Case is excellent original finish, original silvered dial lacks the wax in the incising. Height, 80 in.
