Howard & Co., Boston” with black Roman hour numerals and blued spade hands; brass 8 day weight driven time only No. 70 movement signed “E. Howard & Co., Boston” has an ebonized wood pendulum stick with brass covered bob and solid brass pulley with No. 70 iron weight . In a walnut No. 70 wall hanging case with original reverse painted and gold leaf lower tablet. Refinished, replaced pulley, repaired weight damage at the base, minor touchup paint around dial holes; running. 32″ high x 15.5″ wide x 4.75″ deep. Weight: 21.5 lbs.

Howard & Co., BostonÂ, has black Roman hour numerals and 5 minute numbers, large black spade hands; quality brass 8 day weight driven time only movement signed ÂE. Howard & Co. BostonÂ, Graham deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, Geneva stop, large iron No. 1 weight, brass pulley, wood weight baffle w/ brass lockdown hardware, long gold painted wood pendulum stick and brass covered bob. In a beautiful large sized walnut No. 70 case with hinged door bezel and carved corner pieces. Case has an enhanced original finish and is in very good condition, dial is original paint with no inpainting, has 3 vertical natural seam splits w/ repair. 62 in. high x 29 in. wide x 8 in. deep.

Howard & Co., BostonÂ, has black Roman hour numerals and blued spade hands (tarnished); brass 8 day weight driven time only movement No. 70, signed ÂE. Howard & Co., BostonÂ, wood pendulum stick with brass covered bob, original No. 70 iron weight and brass pulley. In a carved mahogany case with turned finials over a carved trim piece, leaf carved spandrels on the corners of the upper door, square teardrop finial, corbels and floral carved border in the drop section with original reverse painted red, black & gilt tablet. In good overall condition, case has some damage to the lower bracket from the weight falling, has an enhanced original medium red-brown finish with very small spot touchups in the tablet. 34 in. high x 15 in. wide x 5.5. in. deep.

Walnut case has an original finish with an old overcoat, round bezel and long reverse painted door tablet which is replaced. 56 in. long.
