Eli Terry Pillar and Scroll Shelf Clock, Plymouth, Connecticut, c. 1825. Scroll top case with three wooden finials, turned columns, hand painted dial with flowers in corners, reverse plainted tablet, label “Patent Clocks, Invented by Eli Terry, Made and Sold in Plymouth, Connecticut”. 30 hour wooden works, weight driven, key and pendulum, measures approx. 29″ tall x 17″ wide x 4 1/2″ deep. Many Eli Terry Clocks which depict a home or building on the reverse painted glass tablet, are actual homes in the Town of Plymouth and surrounding Connecticut towns of the time period.

Weight driven, wooden works, with beautiful hand painted dial, reverse painted glass tablet, wooden urn finials, very nice label, “Patent Clocks, Invented by Eli Terry, Made and Sold at Plymouth Connecticut, E. Terry & Sons.”, measures approx. 31 1/2″ tall x 16 1/2″ wide x 4 1/2″ deep. A 19th century Samuel Terry column shelf clock. 30 hr weight driven time and strike wooden movement with painted wood dial. Mahogany case with shaped crown, single long door with lower painting, flanked by turned pilasters. Paper label 80% intact. Older refinishing with minor damage, replaced painting, restored crown, lacks alarm mechanism. 34″ high.

An early 19th century Samuel Terry, Plymouth, Conn Mahogany shelf clock. 8-day Brass, weight driven movement with seconds bit and painted wooden dial. Flat top Mahogany case with molded cornice and slender turned columns, single door with lower reverse painted glass (Tom Moberg replacement). Older refinishing with wear, replaced lower glass panel, running when cataloged. 27 1/2″ high.
