Eugene Farcot, French, 1830-1896. A 19th century Figural clock with Farcot's Patented Conical pendulum. 8-day time and strike movement with Gilded dial and Roman numerals, engine turned bezel, adjustable Brass and Steel pendulum with Gilded Bronze mounts and Blue sphere, rear plate with Eagle and "Medaille de Bronze, Fot Brevette" trademark, serial #69151. White Alabaster case surmounted by a Classical draped Spelter figure of a Danaides with vase, on a base with Gilded Bronze mounts and incised carvings with Gold inlay, all on flared floriform bracket feet. Some surface wear, figure refinished, Alabaster with small edge flakes, lacks rear door glass, running when cataloged. 35 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $3,000-4,000
