A handsome little clock 12h x 8 x 4.75 inches, ebonised finials and details on a rosewood(?) veneered case. Paper dial with seconds bit and alarm setting, applied brass ornament. All original finish, paper dial, etc, nice patina to the applied metal, winds, runs and then stops.

Ansonia Ebonized Mantle Clock. 7.5 in. paper dial with black Roman hour numerals and spade hands; brass 8 day spring driven movement with hour count wheel strike on a coiled gong, signed Ansonia Clock Co. on the iron gong mount and on the beat indicator, has a silvered pendulum bob. In an ebonized and gilt incised case with carved crest and turned finials; original reverse painted door glass framing the dial in black, gilt, red and blue aesthetic design, Ansonia Clock Co. paper label on the back of the case reads Greek. Good general condition and original finish, has some wear to the reverse painting. 17.75 in. high x 12.5 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep.
