An oak and fruitwood case with replaced turned wood finials, Corinthian columns on either side of the front glass, sheet iron dial with original paint and applied brass allegories at the spandrels, the top of dial with a rolling animated scene of soldiers moving in and out of a painted castle. Two original period weights, the pendulum hidden behind the sliding back board with ormolu drape and urn cut-out. Measures 50 x 16.5 x 9 inches.

Mounted on a wood base. There are informational papers with the clock, plus parts and chains. Crown wheel escapement. Has not been tested. Oak Wall Hanging Dutch Hood Clock w/ Alarm. 10 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals and 5 minute numbers outside, repousse brass bezel & corner spandrels, hand painted arched top with scenic lake view, pierced brass hands and brass alarm indicator disc. Brass weight driven movement with recoil escapement, fancy turned posts, half hour strike with steel bell at the top of the movement, separate bell above for alarm strike and brass covered weight. In good running condition. In an oak case with arched bonnet top, carved Chronos w/ globe center finial and winged angel side finials, the lower section with pierced carved corbeled supports and backboard panel with oval cutout with brass urn overlay exposing the pendulum bob swinging behind the wood backboard. Cleaned and enhanced finish, figures are replaced. 58 in. high x 14 in. wide x 8 in. deep.
