Circa 1900 French Unsigned 8 Day Mantel Clock with 3.5″ Good original enamel dial with unusual type open escapement, Circular brass sping driven with gong strike and open balance escapement, Pink and white variegated onyx case with applied gilt metal decorations, beveled glass bezel and bi-metallic open balance escapement. A barefoot seated draped figure is seated and holding a sledge hammer handle in his right hand, looking at an open escapement beveled glass door clock with an urn decoration on top of the case, black lacquer base with copper finished feet and center head below the figures foot. 20″ long by 16″ tall. All parts and pieces seem to be here. 1880-1910 era.
