Denier 2 Color Bronze & Marble Figural Mantle Clock. Figural winged putti with a deep brown patina, stands on a stack of books, beside the clock tower holding a rooster; on a rouge marble base. 2 1/2″ dial signed Deniere. Round French brass time and bell strike Japy Freres movement signed Deniere, Paris and numbered 2423. In very good condition, no damage or repairs; movement runs. 18″ high x 13″ wide x 5″ deep.

Marble & Dore Bronze Figural Mantle Clock. 3. 5 in. convex blue enamel painted metal dial with gilt stars and porcelain inserts with Roman hour numerals, gilt pierced hands; typical French brass 8 day spring driven movement signed L’Marti et Cie, has an half hour count wheel strike on a bell. Case has gilt bronze figural putti with cupid holding the hand of a female figure and whispering into her ear, they lean against the timepiece in between them; on a carved white marble base with gilt bronze mounts, beaded trim and feet, signed on a metal tag inset in the back of the marble which reads “J.V. et Fils Brevetes, Sgdg, Paris”. In good overall condition with no breaks or repairs to the marble or bronze. 12.5 in. high x 15.5 in. wide x 6 in. deep.

Gilt bronze seated figure of a philosopher with a pen and a basket of paper scrolls, black marble clock tower with arched top, black marble base with green marble inset panels on the front and sides with gilt bronze mounts and trim. 4 in. porcelain dial with open moon hands; round French brass 8 day spring driven movement signed “Japy Freres” & “Rollin a Paris”, has a half hour strike on a bell. Black marble has a few breaks and repairs, front feet are broken off but we do have them, no hairlines in the dial. 17 in. high x 21.5 in. wide x 7.5 in. deep.

2 Tone Marble Mantle Clock. 4 in. porcelain dial with black hour numbers, black hands and beveled crystal; typical round brass 8 day spring driven movement, unsigned, has an half hour strike on a bell, has key & pendulum. In a 2 tone rouge and black marble case with gilt spelter pierced decorated side arms and finial top; marble has incised highlights. Clock top is glued off center on the base, dial has a faint hairline between the center and the strike winding hole. 15.5 in. high x 11.25 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep. Weight: 23.5 lbs.

Bronze seated figure of a young philosopher holding a pen and a scroll, he sits on the bronze clock tower with a black marble stepped base having acanthus leaf trim and large claw feet, beautiful medium brown patina. 4.5 in. black marble dial with applied brass Roman hour numerals, gilt spade hands and hinged brass door bezel with beveled crystal; round brass 8 day spring driven movement with a half hour strike on a coiled gong. In beautiful condition, no breaks or losses, unsigned, very high quality casting. 29 in. high x 24.5 in. wide x 11 in. deep.

Has a white marble base with gilt bronze mounts & feet, pr. of figural winged maiden sphinxes sit opposite facing on raised plinths and hold the timepiece up between their wings, a figural nude maiden is seated on top leaning back and viewing herself in a hand mirror. 4.5 in. porcelain dial with black hour numbers, fancy gilt pierced hands and hinged door bezel with beveled convex glass; bras 8 day spring driven French movement signed “Vincenti & Cie”, has an half hour strike on a bell and a brass pendulum bob with maiden’s head mount on the front. Bell is replaced, rear door is broken, marble has some edge chips, front mounted plaque is missing 2 ends and the dial has hairlines and a few chips around the edge. 16 in. high x 12.5 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep.
