H.J. Davies Crystal Palace No. 1 Clock. Brass spring driven movement no. 6 ½, signed H.J. Davies, New York, strikes on a brass bell. 5 in. paper dial with brass embellishments on the bezel. Brass pendulum with double barrel bob. Has a walnut base with mirrored back and standing figures on either side. ÂDavies was the designer of the Crystal palace and the successor to George Jones; the company was bought by Ansonia around 1877Â. 18 in. high x 14 in. wide x 6 in. deep.
