Custom Made Girandole Banjo Clock. Fancy pierced hands, 7 in. painted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals; typical brass 8 day weight driven time only movement signed Kilbourn & Proctor, has a steel pendulum rod with brass covered bob, brass pulley with lead weight and lock down hardware on blue painted baffle. Elaborate mahogany girandole presentation banjo case has a large gilt bronze eagle & wreath finial, ornate gilt base, brass upper door bezel with presentation spheres, gilt framed throat with rope twist trim and gilt lower door with gilt carved presentation spheres, convex reverse painted Aurora lower tablet and reverse painted “Patent” throat glass; In good general condition, eagle’s wreath is repaired. Gilding is redone. 50 in. high x 12 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep. Letter inside of the case signed & dated by the maker Alfred Tella, Aug 2, 1977.
