A rare balance wheel operated spring driven painted cast iron and nacre inlay 10 1/2″ cottage timepiece signed on the dial “N. Pomeroy, Bristol, CT.” Noah Pomeroy 1813-1896 worked alone in Bristol, Connecticut 1858-1878.

A 19th century Connecticut Clock Co. Ogee shelf clock. 30 hr time, strike and alarm weight driven Brass movement with painted wooden dial. Figured Mahogany case with single long door, clear upper and reverse painted “Smithsonian Institute, Washington” lower glasses. Older finish in fair condition, some flaking to lower glass, minor veneer chips. 26″ high.
