Colonial Hall Clock

Description

A 1920’s Period Hall clock, by The Colonial Clock Co. Grand Rapids, Michigan. 8-day time and strike movement with quarter hour striking on 9 tubes in either Westminster, Whittington or Wynchestre chimes, arched brass dial with painted moon phase, filigree spandrels and silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals. Mahogany case with shaped crown and carved crest flanked by two turned finials, single long glass door flanked by turned and reeded columns on a molded base. Original Dark finish with minor wear. 92″ high. ESTIMATE $6,000-8,000

CO., Zeeland, Michigan”. 8 day weight driven time and strike movement with quarter hour “Westminster” striking on five tubes, engraved Brass dial with Silvered chapter ring and Arabic numerals, in a simple Mahogany case with a molded pediment and single long door with beveled lower glass. Original finish with wear and some alligatoring. Running when cataloged. 87 1/2″ high overall. ESTIMATE $1,000-2,000

Mahogany Colonial Revival Hall Clock, 8 day brass movement with brass and silvered dial, signed “JE Caldwell”, beveled glass in the waist door and ends, flanked by round columns, raised on paw feet, brass 8 day movement by F Korfhage, Germany, striking Westminster, Wittington, and St Michaels Chimes on 9 tubes, the pendulum bob engraved “Presented to Charles Beck as founder by the Charles Beck Company and employees 50th Anniversary October 10th 1914″, 8’5” tall to the center of the finial. JE Caldwell repair tag dated 1954
