English Longcase Grandfather Clock, ca. mid 18th c. The square brass dial with engraved chapter ring, signed "Collier, Eccles." Enclosed within a square hood with fluted columns and a flat, molded cornice. The case with geometric marquetry decoration and fluted corner columns, raised on ogee bracket feet.
Height: 81 3/4 in x width: 20 3/4 in x depth: 9 1/2 in.

A George III mahogany longcase clock. Thomas Hale, London, circa 1780. Having a 12″ silvered break-arch Roman dial with subsidiary seconds and date dials, engraved “Thos. Hale London”, the arch with Strike/Silent ring, the five-pillar movement rack-striking on a bell, the break-arched case with brass ball-and-spire finials over cut foliate scroll crestings, stop-fluted columns, conforming canted corners flanking a moulded break-arched long trunk, on cut corner-panelled base with wavy apron and integral bracket feet, 90.5″, (230cm) high.

Having a 12-inch broken-arched dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes (faded) framing a terrestrial calendar crescent, within fan spandrels beneath an arch painted with seated Arcadian figures and a dog, the knopped four-pillar movement outside countwheel-striking on a bell, the case with swan-neck pediment over turned columns, humped crossbanded long trunk door between canted corners, and crossbanded base with apron, sold with weight and pendulum, 82.25″, (209cm) high
