An early 20th century Claude Grivolas 400-day clock. 400-day time only movement with a convex porcelain dial and Arabic numerals, painted drape detail marked "Pendule 400 Jours, CG, Utilia" with Gilded engine turned bezel and torsion pendulum. Brass case with Gilded detail having a flat molded top over a beveled glass door flanked by reeded Corinthian columns and beveled side and rear glasses on a molded base with scrolled skirt. Fully marked on rear plate and base of pendulum with matching "2338" serial #'s. Very good condition with slight wear, married Grivolas dial, running when cataloged. 11 1/4" high.
