Circa 1790 Oak Tall Case Clock: With bell strike and anchor escapement, the movement is described by the appraiser as being continuous chain 30 hour. The dial has an attached label below the hands “Anno 1790 – GUHB155”. Above the dial is another player with an engraved eagle and “TEMPUS FUGIT”. There are carved designs in the door and base panels of the dark oak case. The joints are all pegged together. The top door has the original staple hinges. The lower door has the original brass hinges of the period.
