Original 5.5 in. painted metal dial signed “Tiffany & Co., New York”, has incised black hour numbers and blued hands; brass spring driven time only movement signed “Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, U.S.A.”, numbered 189700, has lever escapement. In a medium sized mahogany case with brass eagle finial, brass door bezel, pierced brass side arms, carved lower presentation bracket with fluted design, turned spherical mounts and acorn finial; reverse painted throat glass with gilt filigree and reverse painted lower tablet with scene of the Mt. Vernon estate. In good condition, movement is running, glasses have some minor inpainting. 32 in. high x 8 in. wide x 3 in. deep.

In a mahogany banjo style case with gilt brass eagle finial, brass door bezel, pierced brass side arms, presentation lower bracket with fluted carving, turned spherical mounts and acorn teardrop finial; reverse painted throat glass with gilt filigree, reverse painted tablet view of the Mt. Vernon estate. In good condition, running and striking, original finish. 32 in. high x 8 in. wide x 3 in. deep.

In a mahogany banjo presentation style case having a gilt brass eagle finial, brass door bezel, pierced brass side arms, lower presentation bracket with fluted carving, turned spherical mounts and acorn finial; reverse painted throat glass with filigree, eagle and shield, reverse painted tablet with ship scene commemoration Perry’s Victory at Lake Erie 1813. In good overall condition, has some inpainting on the dial, some paint flaking on the reverse painted glasses, movement is not running, case has an overcoated finish. 42 in. high x 10 in. wide x 4.25 in. deep.

Chelsea Spring Driven Ships Bell Banjo Clock. 5.5 in. painted metal dial signed “Chelsea”, has incised black hour numbers; brass 8 day spring driven movement signed “Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, U.S.A.”, numbered 771053, has a lever escapement, rack & snail ship’s bell strike on a coiled gong. In a mahogany banjo style case with gilt brass eagle finial, brass door bezel, pierced brass side arms, presentation lower bracket with fluted carving, turned spherical mounts and acorn teardrop finial; reverse painted throat glass with gilt eagle, shield & filigree, reverse painted tablet with battle scene depicting the U.S.S. Constitution and the HMS Guerriere in the battle of 1812. In good condition, holes in dial & back plate do not all line up, has Chelsea instruction booklet and presentation plaque inside of the case to “John G. Stewart, 1950-1970, for a job well done, our deepest appreciation, W.W.E.M.A.”. 32 in. high x 8 in. wide x 3 in. deep.

Mahogany banjo style case has brass bezel, pierced brass side arms, turned brass finial, gilt & rope twist carved framing around the throat and tablet; reverse painted throat glass with filigree, eagle & shield and reverse painted tablet with scene depicting Perry’s Victory at Lake Erie. In good condition, has some surface tarnish to the brass, no breaks or cracks to the glasses. 34 in. high x 10 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

In a mahogany case with brass door bezel, gilt brass eagle finial, pierced brass side arms, gilt rope twist carved frame work around the throat and lower door; reverse painted throat glass with filigree and oval portrait of George Washington, reverse painted tablet with scene of the Mt. Vernon homestead. In good condition, case has an original finish, glasses have some flaking and paint loss, replaced hour hand, throat has a split and repair in the bottom tab. 40 in. high x 10 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

In a mahogany case with brass door bezel, gilt brass eagle finial, scroll carved throat, presentation style base with turned spherical mounts; reverse painted throat glass with gilt eagle & arrow perched on a tall column, tablet is reverse painted with a harbor scene commemoration the “Boston Tea Party, 1775”. In good overall condition, glasses are overpainted, case has and enhanced original finish. 38 in. high x 11 in. wide x 4 in. deep.
