Boston U.S.A and numbered 474311. In a forged brass case with hinged door bezel, in good condition. 10.5 in. dia.

Chelsea Ships Bell Mantle Clock. Silvered dial has a 4 in. chapter ring with black incised Arabic hour numbers, open moon hands, beat regulator and lever for silent-chime, signed Chelsea Ships Bell. Quality brass spring driven movement signed Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, U.S.A. and numbered 852066, lever escapement in good working condition, rack and snail strike mechanism with ships bell strike on a coiled gong. In a gilt brass case with ships wheel around the bezel, in overall good condition, one of the 3 mounts behind dial plate is broken and case has some tarnish to the surface. On a mahogany base with a serpentine form and stands on spherical feet. 8 in. dia. x 10 in. high x 18 in. wide x 3.75 in. deep.

New York – Chelsea, Ships Bell. Typical Ships Bell brass movement, signed and numbered 187453; strikes on a blued coiled gong. Cast bronze case with round tub and threaded bezel, signed and matching numbers on the back. In running condition, silvered dial is worn to the brass and has a worn bronze patina to the case. 5.5 in. dia. x 3.5 in. deep.
