Chelsea Ship’s Bell Mantle Clock. 8 in. silvered dial with black incised Arabic hour numbers, blued open moon hands, singed by the retailer J.E. Caldwell and marked Ships Bell. Quality spring driven movement with lever escapement in good running condition, balance wheel swings freely with nice brisk motion, rack and snail strike mechanism with Ships Bell strike on a coiled gong, movement signed and numbered Chelsea Clock Co. Boston, U.S.A. 125978. In a forged brass case with bronze finish, round top with hinged door bezel splayed base and stands on 4 spherical feet. 12.5 in. high x 12 in. wide x 5 in. deep.
