Chelsea Ship’s Bell Clock & Barometer. 5 in. silvered dial signed “M. Low, New York” & “Chelsea Ship’s Bell” with black incised Roman hour numerals, open moon hands and silent/chime switch; typical 8 day brass spring driven movement signed “Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, USA” and numbered 638248, with lever escapement, has ship’s bell strike on a coiled gong. Holosteric barometer has a 5 in. dial signed “Chelsea” w/ open center and arched Fahrenheit thermometer. Both are in forged brass ships helm cases with hinged door bezels and 2 tone case finish. Time mechanism is not running, clock strikes, both cases are in good condition with some surface tarnishing to the finish. 14 in. dia.
