Stennes, Weymouth, Mass and bee mark, typical pierced hands and brass bezel; typical brass, 8 day, weight driven, time only Kilbourn & Proctor movement has steel pendulum rod with brass bob, lead weight and painted red weight baffle. Carved mahogany case has a leaf carved finial, lyre shaped throat with scrolling leaf carvings, reverse painted throat glass with gilt cornucopias and basket of fruit, tapered bracket with teardrop final and leaf carvings. In very good condition and original finish, glass, hands and dial are all in good condition. 41 in. high
Mahogany Lyre Banjo Clock. 7 in. replaced metal dial with black Roman hour numerals and blued open moon hands, brass weight driven time only 8 day banjo type movement with long pendulum rod, brass covered bob, brass pulley & lead weight. In a carved mahogany case with leaf carved finial, hinged door, scrolling leaf carved lyre shaped throat with inset wood panel, lower door with inset mahogany panel and tapered bracket with acorn finial. Early movement is married to this early 20th century case, weight is replaced, lyre carving has an old split and repair, beautiful dark brown enhanced original finish, center post of movement touches the dial glass when door is closed. 39.5 in. high x 11.25 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

A fine mantel clock with a mahogany case in the form of a classical lyre, with a round dialed Chelsea clock fit within. This clock will strike the hours, not the ships bells. 13 1/4″ high with a 4 1/2″ porcelain dial.
Unless otherwise stated the condition of the mechanisms of these clocks is good, but that does not mean they run or do not need repairs. There is no guarantee of either the mechanical performance of clocks nor the completeness and originality of their parts and components. Original 7 in. painted iron dial signed ÂAaron Willard Jr., Boston and numbered ÂNo. 648Â, has black Roman hour numerals and good pierced hands; quality brass weight driven movement with half hour rack & snail strike on a bell at the top of the movement, has a long steel pendulum rod hanging from a t-bridge suspension with brass covered bob and 2 lead weights with brass pulleys. In a beautiful carved mahogany lyre shaped case with gilt turned wood finial, hinged brass door bezel, pierced filigree carved frame work in the throat with original reverse painted throat glass, lower door with mirrored tablet and fluted carved lower bracket with a teardrop acorn finial. Case has an enhanced original finish, some paint flaking and inpainting on the tablet, original mirror, some gold flaking to the finial, in beautiful condition. 40 in. high x 12 in. wide x 4 in. deep.
