Chelsea Ships Bell Mantle Clock. Silvered dial has a 4 in. chapter ring with black incised Arabic hour numbers, open moon hands, beat regulator and lever for silent-chime, signed Chelsea Ships Bell. Quality brass spring driven movement signed Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, U.S.A. and numbered 852066, lever escapement in good working condition, rack and snail strike mechanism with ships bell strike on a coiled gong. In a gilt brass case with ships wheel around the bezel, in overall good condition, one of the 3 mounts behind dial plate is broken and case has some tarnish to the surface. On a mahogany base with a serpentine form and stands on spherical feet. 8 in. dia. x 10 in. high x 18 in. wide x 3.75 in. deep.

No. 2801”, with incised white hour numbers and glow in the dark hour markers (9 of 12 missing), brass spade and pointer hands; quality brass spring driven movement with lever escapement, rack & snail ships bell strike mechanism on a blued coiled gong, movement signed “Chelsea Clock Co. Boston, U.S.A., 314050”. In a forged brass tub with threaded flanged bezel and a lacquered finish, matching number on the back of the case “314050; case has some surface tarnish and spotting, in good working condition. 7.5 in. dia. x 3.5 in. deep.

Chelsea Spring Driven Ships Bell Banjo Clock. 5.5 in. painted metal dial signed “Chelsea”, has incised black hour numbers; brass 8 day spring driven movement signed “Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, U.S.A.”, numbered 771053, has a lever escapement, rack & snail ship’s bell strike on a coiled gong. In a mahogany banjo style case with gilt brass eagle finial, brass door bezel, pierced brass side arms, presentation lower bracket with fluted carving, turned spherical mounts and acorn teardrop finial; reverse painted throat glass with gilt eagle, shield & filigree, reverse painted tablet with battle scene depicting the U.S.S. Constitution and the HMS Guerriere in the battle of 1812. In good condition, holes in dial & back plate do not all line up, has Chelsea instruction booklet and presentation plaque inside of the case to “John G. Stewart, 1950-1970, for a job well done, our deepest appreciation, W.W.E.M.A.”. 32 in. high x 8 in. wide x 3 in. deep.
