Chelsea Brass Repousse Mantle Clock. 4.75 in. porcelain dial has black Roman hour numerals, fancy gilt hands and figural repousse center with 2 standing putti, hinged door bezel with convex glass; brass spring driven 8 day time only movement signed “Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, USA” & numbered 145568, has a lever escapement, not running. In a repousse brass case with gilt finish, urn finial over an octagonal body with filigree design and a rectangular base having a seashell border and standing on turned feet; signed on the back plate “Edward F. Caldwell, New York”. 13.5 in. high x 7 in. wide x 3.5 in. deep.

Chelsea Ships Bell Mantle Clock. Silvered dial has a 4 in. chapter ring with black incised Arabic hour numbers, open moon hands, beat regulator and lever for silent-chime, signed Chelsea Ships Bell. Quality brass spring driven movement signed Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, U.S.A. and numbered 852066, lever escapement in good working condition, rack and snail strike mechanism with ships bell strike on a coiled gong. In a gilt brass case with ships wheel around the bezel, in overall good condition, one of the 3 mounts behind dial plate is broken and case has some tarnish to the surface. On a mahogany base with a serpentine form and stands on spherical feet. 8 in. dia. x 10 in. high x 18 in. wide x 3.75 in. deep.
