the mahogany case with a foliate carved crest and gilded trim, 8-day weight driven movement with Fasoldt's patent escapement and inverted two barrel pendulum, movement signed "Made for Dr. J.V.C. Teller/C. Fasoldt, Albany, NY, Pat. Feb. 1, 1859, Mar 7, 1865," the plaque on the base reads "Presented by Dr. J. Ivimey Dowling, Former Property, Dr. William E. Milbank," the clock with original door locking mechanism at the bottom of the base

Oak German Inverted Hanging Wall Regulator. Silvered metal dial has a 6 in. chapter ring with black painted hour numbers, crossed arrow, marked Âmade in GermanyÂ, has black spade and pointer hands; brass spring driven 8 day movement has an half hour strike on a coiled gong and brass gridiron 2 jar mercurial pendulum hanging above the movement. In an oak case with arched crest, chamfered corners, glass panel at the top of the door exposing the pendulum and panel below displaying the clock dial. 27 in. high x 11.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.

A 19th century Four dial Vienna Regulator wall clock with Day, Month and Date by "Heinfich Fischer, in Wien" additionally marked "Stadt Seilergasse, No. 9" on date dial . 8-day weight driven time only movement with a two part porcelain main dial with Roman numerals and a molded brass bezel with three lower subsidiary dials indicating the Day, Month and Date. Mixed wood case with and arched top and shaped crown and a long molded door with lower finials and a shaped drop. Original grain painted finish with some wear, running when cataloged, calendar needs adjustment. 52" high overall. ESTIMATE $1,500-2,500

Bronze Inverted Swinger Mystery Clock. Bronze standing figure of Diana wearing long garments, exposed sandals and a crown, her right hand holds up the pendulum which has a 2 tone gridiron shaft, the spherical bob has a champlevé bezel. The dial has applied brass Roman hour numerals and floral gilt hands, has its original green finish. The unusual brass spring driven movement is contained within the sphere, an internal counter weight on an X shaped suspension and attached to the crutch, which engages the escapement as the pendulum swings. Sculpture and movement are both unsigned, suspension spring for internal counterweight is broken; figure missing bow and arrow quiver. 30″ high x 9″ wide x 13″ deep. Weight: 42.25 lbs.

Inverted Pendulum Mystery Swinger Clock. Alabaster 2 column portico case with dore bronze mounts and trim; a large gridiron pendulum hangs from the top of the case on a knife point suspension. The elaborate bronze pendulum bob measuring 4.5 in. containing the brass 3.25 in. dial signed “Breguet et Fils” and has black painted Roman hour numbers; the 8 day spring driven movement is contained within the pendulum bob, has a pinwheel escapement and a half hour bell strike, in running condition. Case has a small repair to the alabaster at the top and some chipping at the top fittings of the columns. 23″ high x 12.5″ wide x 5.5″ deep. Weight 23 lbs.

Fasoldt, Rensselaer, NY, exposed recoil escapement, unusual pierced hands; brass weight driven movement with rack & snail strike mechanism with steel bell, iron weights and brass covered pendulum bob. In a mahogany & tiger maple pillar & scroll case, has fancy pierced carved crest with bone rosettes, spun brass finials, turned side columns and valanced feet; reverse painted lower tablet in good original condition. 31.5 in. high x 17.5 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep.
