Carved Walnut Grande Sonnerie Vienna Regulator. 7 in. brass dial has a silvered chapter ring with black painted hour numerals, fancy filigree engraved center, gilt brass bezel and fancy pierced hands; brass 8 day 3 weight driven movement with grande sonnerie strike on 2 blued coiled gongs, long wood pendulum stick with fancy filigree engraved brass bob, engraved fronts on the weights and pulleys. In an ornate walnut case with carved top and spindled crest with turned finials, long half columns on the doors and carved lower bracket. In very good condition and original finish, minute hand is repaired and loose. 49 in. high x 17 in. wide 8 in. deep.

Grande Sonnerie Vienna Regulator. 6.5 in. inset porcelain dial with brass bezel, black painted Roman hour numerals and fancy pierced hands; brass weight driven movement has a deadbeat escapement, grande sonnerie strike on 2 coiled gongs, repeat lever, beat adjustment on the crutch, long brass & silvered gridiron pendulum with engraved straps and pendulum bob, brass pulleys and quality brass weights. In a large carved walnut case with filigree carved arched crest, turned corner columns on the door and carved lower bracket with teardrop finials. In good condition, movement is running and striking, hairline in the center of the dial, no breaks or repairs to the case which has an overcoated original finish, replaced side glasses. 66 in. long 19.5 in. wide x 9 in. deep.

The walnut case has a baroque style crest with leaf and scroll design, applied leaf carvings and rosettes through the body and spindled border above the carved lower bracket. The back panel of the case reads Â Carl Suchy & Sohne, Rotenturmstr. 6, in Wein.
