Carved Oak Grandfather Clock. Brass dial has a 12 in. silvered chapter ring with applied brass hour numbers, sub seconds dial and moon phase dial, fancy pierced swirling leaf decoration in the center of the dial and spandrels, has fancy pierced black hour and minute hands, sub seconds dial, Chime/Silent lever and singed “Camerden & Foster, New York” on a silvered plaque. Quality brass movement strikes on 5 blued coiled gongs, has 3 quality brass weights and pulleys, brass pendulum bob with steel stick and signed “J.J. Elliot, England”. In an oak case with high arched crest having fancy carved designs with ribbons and wreaths, turned finials at the top and the bonnet has 2 turned columns on either side of the door; the body has leaf carving at the shoulder, spiral turned columns, beveled door glass and fancy carved base on claw feet. In very good condition and original finish. 98.5 in. high x 22.5 in. wide x 13 in. deep.
