A 19th century Bronze Fountain novelty clock by William Hart, Harrison, Chepstow, England, worked 1822-1848. 1-day fusee driven watch movement with engraved cock and Silvered dial with Roman numerals marked "Harrison, Chepstow, No. 5973". Bronze case with Gothic Revival design contains the timepiece above a fountain with a twisted glass automaton which operates on demand with a separate key wind mechanism. Original patina with Slivered and Gilded detail, some wear, replaced minute hand, running when cataloged. 10 3/4" high. ESTIMATE $1,000-1,500

French Bronze Animated Fountain Clock. The dial has a relief decorated dore bronze chapter ring with rose and filigree design and painted black Roman hour numerals on round panels, silvered damascened center and open moon hands. The 2 tone dore & patinated bronze clock case has a figural cherub on top, leaning against an urn, the urn has a spiral glass rod which spins, running on a separate movement contained in the case; the figure holds a gold paddle and beside the figure, tucked among the reeds is a lyre, painted pallet and a bundle with initials ÂAi. Co.Â Decorated around the dial with hanging cornucopias under fruit baskets with figural dolphin faces spitting out 3 more spiral glass rods into the gothic arch pierced decorated well below; the lower spinning rods run on a separate movement contained in the bottom of the case. Has a typical round brass spring driven silk thread movement with half hour count-wheel strike mechanism on a bell. 22.5 in. high x 10 in. wide x 7.5 in. deep.

The glass rod spins, running on a designated movement. French brass, time only clock movement has silvered chapter ring with Roman hour numerals above a Reaumur barometer; stands on a black marble base. In very good working condition. 20.5 in. high x 8.5 in. wide x 8.5 in. deep.

The glass rod spins, running on a designated movement, time only clock movement signed , Deniau & Borius Fabricants Paris, has silvered dial with Roman hour numerals above a silvered barometer dial; stands on a rouge marble base. In very good working condition, 22 in. high.

Ansonia/Vincenti 3 Piece Clock Set, “Fountain”: Shown in the Ansonia book on page 398 – No. 1544 is the clock title “Fountain”. The 5 cup candelabras are not shown in the book. The movement is French by Vincenti with an 1855 or 1858 date in the mark. It is No. 4341. There is a floral decorated enamel dial with hands that are engraved silver, almost feather-like with cut out centers. The movement strikes the hour and 1/2 hour on a cup bell. The marble and metal clock and matching side pieces are Art Nouveau all the way and in excellent original condition.

(The clock runs and strikes for a little while then stops. The pendulum seems to be too long.)
