Bronze Animated Locomotive Industrial Clock
Description
Bronze Animated Locomotive Industrial Clock. Excellent bronze case in the form of a steam locomotive on a black marble base with gilt rails, has a stick thermometer on the front of the funnel and compass in the top, aneroid barometer with 2.5 in. porcelain dial mounted in the boiler and timepiece mounted on the side of the cab; wheels are animated by an independent spring driven movement mounted under the train. Timepiece has a 3.5 in. porcelain dial with black hour numbers, brass door bezel with beveled crystal, round brass 8 day spring driven movement has a platform lever escapement and half hour strike on a bell; time mechanism is not running, clock strikes, animated mechanism is functional, case is missing a decorative valve lever on top of the boiler. 18 in. high x 18.5 in. wide x 9 in. deep. Weight: 55 lbs.
