A good quality early 20th century British Grandfather clock. 8-day weight driven movement with quarter hour Westminster chime on a nest of eight bells, with coiled hour gong, a Brass dial with Silvered chapter ring and Roman numerals, upper Chime/Silent and seconds subsidiary dials flanked by cast spandrels. Mahogany case with extensive inlaid urn and foliate detail features molded Swan neck pediment with turned Brass finial above an arched dial door flanked by fluted Brass columns over an arched inlaid waist door flanked by Satinwood banding, all on a paneled base with scrolled plinth. Restored finish with only slight wear, movement recently overhauled, running and striking correctly when cataloged. 20 x 12 1/2 x 95 1/2" high overall. ESTIMATE $2,000-4,000
