Boston Clock Co. Ship’s Clock. 10 in. silvered dial signed by the retailer “Star Brass Mfg. Co., Boston, Mass.” and “Boston – G.” indicating the 11 jewel movement, has black incised Roman hour numerals, sub seconds dial and blued open moon hands; round brass spring driven time only 8 day movement signed “Boston Clock Co., Boston, patented Dec. 28, 1880” and serial number A1734, has a lever escapement with balance wheel. In a forged brass case with flanged hinged door bezel and mounted on a mahogany base. Case is polished and lacquered (original silvered finish removed), movement is running and clock is in good overall condition. 15 in. high x 13.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep, case dia. 12 in.
