A cartouche shape back board with oak leaves and other carved elements plus high relief, three dimensional castle turrets, foxes, birds and more surrounding a central clock dial with brass hands, roman numerals and winding hole bezels. Time and strike movement. The overall measurements 34 x 23 x 5 inches.

Black Forest Carved Hunting Theme Mantle Clock. Black forest carved case has an arched form resembling the ground in the forest with hunting dogs, rabbits burrowed in their den, a figure of a man with a rifle and his dog at the top. 3 in. wood dial with brass Roman hour numerals and brass spade hands, carved bugle shaped bezel; round French brass spring 8 day movement signed ÂJapy Freres has an half hour strike on a coiled gong and is in running condition. The case has an old enhanced finish, has wormholes in the wood and a repair to the hunterÂs rifle. 16.25 in. high x 14.5 in. wide x 7.5 in. deep.

Figural Carved Black Forest Mantle Clock. Black forest case is carved with a game bird at the top and a game bird to the right, a fox has a snarling look on his face looking up at the birds and his body wrapped around the left side of the case, an allover filigree forest decoration in the carving; good original finish, one bird has a chip to its beak and a few other minor carving chips. 3 in. brass dial has relief decoration with porcelain hour insets with blue Roman numerals and gilt spade hands; French round brass spring driven movement has an hour count wheel strike on a bell, movement signed Japy Freres, not running. 16.5 in. high x 12 in. wide x 5 in. deep.

Black Forest Figural Carved Wall Clock. 8 in. carved wood dial with black highlights Roman hour numerals, leafy center and pierced brass hands; round brass spring driven movement signed “Gott. Leuenberger/ Interlaken” with an half hour strike on a bell. In a black forest walnut carved case with wood paneled board back having and oak branch border, deerÂs head crest, standing figural putti fisherman on either side of the dial, one holding a spear and the other a shovel with fishing nets wrapped over their shoulders, below is a basket with carved oars, sails, hanging fish and a cutting board. Case is signed on the back ÂSesti & Brugger, InterlakenÂ, in beautiful condition with no repairs or losses, nice medium-light brown original finish. 32 in. high x 24 in. wide x 5 in. deep.
