A mid 19th century Birge, Mallory & Co. triple decker shelf clock. 8-day time and strike strap brass movement (stamped BM & Co) with a painted wooden dial. Mahogany case with Eagle crest, over an upper dial door and a reverse painted center tablet over a lower door with reverse painted tablet, all flanked by turned columns, stepped base with turned ball paw feet. Older refinish with minor damage, repainted gold detail with some loss to the gesso, replaced center tablet, running momentarily when cataloged. 39" high. ESTIMATE $400-600

Mahogany case with cornice top with mirrored frieze, over an upper dial door and a reverse painted center tablet over a lower door with reverse painted tablet, all flanked by turned columns, on a stepped base. Old finish with minor damage, replaced tablets, cracks in upper mirror and lower tablet, running when cataloged. 37 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $400-600
