A mid 19th century Birge, Peck & Co. double decker shelf clock. 8-day time, strike and alarm strap brass movement with a painted metal dial. Mahogany case with molded cornice, upper dial door with lower reverse painted panel, flanked by turned pilasters above a lower door with stenciled glass, on a flat base. Older refinishing with minor damage, lacks feet, cracked center tablet, running momentarily when cataloged. 32 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $200-300

A weight driven clock with gilded and faux painted half columns flanking the triple glazed front and standing on turned feet. The eight day strap brass movement by Birge and Peck.
