Birge, Peck & Co. American Shelf Clock: With an 8 day T&S visible movement; a painted metal dial; a decent interior label; the pendulum and weights. The center glass has a large building; a carriage and a park scene. The lower glass has a large building. The veneered case has 1/2 splat columns.
Not tested.
(The paint on the glass is crackling. The upper corner on the lower glass is cracked.)

Beautiful antique Birge, Peck & Co. Double Decker mahogany shelf clock, Bristol, CT. Early brass works 8 day, weight driven clock, with raised carved splat, fruit bowl with gold gilt, original hand painted dial, reverse painted center glass reads “Franklin College, Athens, George”, reverse painted bottom glass with eagle and fruit. Interior label “Extra Eight Day Rolling Pinion Steel Pivot Brass Clocks; Made and Sold by Birge, Peck & Co., Bristol, CT. “, has additional label, “Myers Clock Shop, 539 New St., Spring City, PA.” Burled and gold gilt half columns, measures approx. 33 1/2″ tall x 16″ wide x 5″ deep.

Mahogany case with arcaded cornice, turned, Crotch veneered half columns and two doors with painted tablets. “Locomotive” paper label 80% intact. In running order. Older refinishing with veneer flakes, flaking on tablets. 32 1/2″ high.
