Birge & Fuller 8 Day Brass Shelf Clock: 8 day brass weight driven movement with gong strike and a 7″ dial. In a mahogany and veneer case with 2/3 length columns. All the glass is original. Inside is a paper label in excellent condition. An early excursion train with passengers is shown above the wording.

Birge & Fuller Double Steeple Mantle Clock. 5.25 in. painted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals, black spade & pointer hands and open center exposing the escapement; Ives patent pierced brass 8 day movement signed “Birge & Fuller, Bristol, Conn., USA”, powered by a wagon spring mechanism in the bottom of the case, has an hour strike on a coiled gong and a brass covered pendulum bob. In a mahogany double steeple case with conical turned spire finials, turned bun feet, reverse cut glass and frosted floral basket door glass and lower tablet; signed on a paper label “Patent Accelerating Lever Spring – Birge & Fuller, Bristol, Conn.”. In nice condition and original finish, running. 27.25 in. high x 13.25 in. wide x 4 in. deep. Weight: 14.5 lbs.

Description: Antique Birge & Fuller Triple Decker Clock with Brass Works: T & S with a paper over wood dial; a mirrored center; a painted scenic lower door signed “Moberg”. The clock has the pendulum and a good interior label. The top and lower sections have split columns, the center section has full columns. In a veneered case with gold painted columns and crest. Not tested.

Birge & Fuller Triple Decker Shelf Clock. Original wood dial has a 7 in. black painted chapter ring with Roman hour numerals, floral painted spandrels and black painted hands; has an 8 day, weight driven brass strap plate movement, hour count wheel strike mechanism on a coiled gong, 2 iron side weights with original wood pulleys and brass covered pendulum bob on a long drop, movement signed “Birge & Fuller, Bristol, CT, USA”. In an Empire mahogany case with overhanging cornice top, long turned half columns over serpentine corbels, 2 glass panels in the upper door with reverse painted lower glass and lower door with reverse painted glass. C. 1840. Hands are repainted, minute hand repaired, glasses appear original, minor hairlines inside of the arbor holes on the dial, minor repair to the ratchet spring on the “time” main gear, no inpainting to the dial and case is in original finish. 34 in. high x 21 in. wide x 6.5 in. deep.
